After spending over 10 years in Banking across Trading and Sales roles and setting up her own boutique Broking business, Nadia has since been taking the Food Tech world by storm. She set up Food Tech Wednesdays and London Food Tech Week, creating London’s first and very powerful community around Food Tech entrepreneurs. Nadia believes that through education, collaboration and innovation - and the integration of technology - we can find commercial, sustainable and scalable solutions to transform the food industry for the better.

Vita Mojo, the world’s first ultra personalised restaurant, secures investment from Elior Group as part of launching their £1.5m Crowdfunding campaign - helping Londoners to make the nutritional choices that are right for them, one meal at a time.

We’re incredibly excited to announce that Vita Mojo, who has just launched its equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube raising £1.5 million and counting, has secured funding from Elior Group. This is a particularly exciting investment for us as Vita Mojo and Elior Group met for the first time during London Food Tech Week 2016. Elior Group, one of the leading global caterers, was one of our incredible London Food Tech Week 2016 partners and Vita Mojo one of the talented startups involved in the week.

Vita Mojo is the world’s first ultra-personalised restaurant. Responding to the ever growing demand for a more personalised approach to nutrition, health and wellness, the restaurant uses software to create menu combinations that incorporate the know-how of a nutritionist and that of a chef. Customers can adjust quantities and ingredients of any given meal using a food calculator in more than nine billion combinations. In addition to this, macros and access to nutritional information, make it incredibly easy for customers to personalise their meal based on their own health goals and objectives. 90% of customers currently visiting the Vita Mojo restaurants are engaging with the technology to make custom high-protein, vegan, or decadent meals.

Vita Mojo has big expansion plans and the investment from Elior Group and its other investors will help to increase its current line up of three restaurants to include an additional five new sites by the end of 2018. Just as excitingly, the company also plans to take the personalisation of its customers’ lunch even further and will soon be linking personalisation options to DNA test results.

Investment in Food Tech companies is essential for the future of the industry and it’s incredibly positive to see the industry tapping into a growing trend of crowdfunding campaigns being backed by institutional investment. Investment of this sort allows more mature growth stage companies like Vita Mojo to take advantage of the combined benefits of using crowd investors as well as institutional investment, and in doing so, to raise significant sums.

Here’s what people are saying:

Nick Popovici, Co-Founder: “Personalisation is a win-win for the consumer and the restaurant. It increases customer satisfaction as everyone gets exactly what they want and keeps them coming back to try new combinations. The timing couldn’t be better as we’re tapping into a number of key trends: the rapid growth of the healthy food industry and millennials demanding more personalisation. The eating-out market is worth more than £70 billion a year just in the UK. Our crowdfunding initiative gives our fans the chance to be a part of the Vita Mojo evolution – as a global first, Vita Mojo is an investment opportunity with a difference. ”

David Haimes, ex-Managing Director of Itsu: “Vita Mojo has built smart restaurants, which are cost-efficient to run and cater to individual needs. You are in control of what you eat, not the restaurant. This is what the restaurant of the future looks like and Vita Mojo is perfectly positioned to reap the benefits.”
